Payment Terms: Agreed Together, Written Down
We do not impose a fixed advance or a standard percentage. Buyer and seller discuss and agree terms that suit both sides.
How we agree payment terms
Every order is different — product, value, destination and relationship all matter. So instead of a rigid formula, we agree payment terms with each buyer before the order is confirmed.
- Discuss. Tell us how you usually pay and what your bank or company policy allows.
- Propose. We suggest a structure that is secure and workable for both parties.
- Agree. The agreed terms are written on the proforma invoice or sales contract, together with the Incoterm, price, delivery period and documents.
- Confirm. Production, packing and shipping start once both sides have confirmed.
Methods we can work with
- Bank transfer (T/T) on terms agreed between the parties
- Irrevocable Letter of Credit (LC), including at sight
- Documentary collection through banks
- Escrow through a reputable provider with agreed release conditions
- Other mutually approved arrangements
All arrangements are subject to banking verification and to Indian export and foreign-exchange regulations. For a neutral overview of the options, read our guide International payment methods for commodity trade.
